Left fielder Rondell White collected 4 RBI with one swing of the bat as the Detroit Iron Gloves smashed the overmatched Dyersville Jurassics, 20 to 4. White provided much of the offense. He laced a base-hit in the 1st inning, brought the hometown folks to their feet with a Grand Slammer (his 30th of the season) in the 6th inning and doubled bringing in a run in the 8th inning. Detroit bats were hot in the 6th inning with 8 runs on 5 hits and the 8th inning when they had 5 runs on 6 hits. Detroit had 20 hits for the afternoon while Dyersville had 11. Doug Davis(17-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings and allowing 4 runs. Wade Miller(5-5) was the loser. He gave up 6 runs and 7 hits in 1 and 2/3 innings. White was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying off. That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'
